Hi i'm looking for a car adapter for my laptop, VGN FW-32J.
Can't seem to find the correct one.
Can anyone help?
Cheers.
Hi mboss2004,
welcome to Club VAIO..
There are power adapters designed for travellers, use the following link to view an example: Notebook Power Adapter
Check that the power output is compatible with your Vaio before purchase..
Hi THanks,
i wasn't sure if i could use just any adapter,
The adapter must have a voltage from 19,5V and
a current of 4,7A. This means 91,65W power. Do i use a
100W adapter?
Hi mboss2004,
it states on the site - is 70W Notebook Power Adapter - Car
Compatible with your notebook?
Even if your notebook model is not in this list, it is most likely already supported. The tips included with Trust power adapters are compatible with 95% of notebooks. If your device is not in this list, then ask the Service Department.
IMO I would think it would be ok for your FW but the choice is yours, if you want to be sure then check with Trust before purchase..
Cheers, have sent a mail to the firm.
Waiting for an answer.
Again thanx alot.
You're welcome..
...as a general rule I would say:
The voltage needs to be matched exactly.
The current (power) needs to be equal or greater than what the notebook requires.
...and by the way the plugs need to fit
Hi guy's
thanx alot.
I've found an answer to my problem that is
very satisfactory. I've bought a 12V - 230V
converter. 120W. Can connect it to cigarette
lighter and can run my Laptop and any other
gadget necessary. I think it's a good answer to
my problem. Costs 35 Quid. Got it from Halfords.
Thanx.
