can you elaborate more on the question, did it happen suddenly, gradually, over time?, can you post a picture up of the fault, it sounds to me like a whole line of pixels have gone/shut down.

if you still have warranty then this will fall under a repair and you should contact your nearest authorised repair centre as soon as possible.
