KDL-48W585b Picture noise gets worse with time

Hi All,

My first post on the Forums and looking for guidance.

I have a KDL-48W585b T.V, which I bought in November last year.

We've had no problems with it at all, until a couple of weeks ago.

I noticed what I believe is called "Noise" on the picture, the dark colours are almost like animation, grainy and difficult to watch. No changes had been made to the previously working fine settings.

I tried different inputs, but even the "Apps" menu is suffering from the same issue.

I've reset the TV to factory defaults and tried the suggested settings for the picture listed on this forum. None of them make any difference to the picture.

I have noticed that the picture gets worse the longer the tv is on. At 10 pm last night it was almost un watchable.

Does this sound like a fault with the TV ? Has anyone experienced the same issue ?

Jesus ! Customer support are a nightmare to deal with, been waiting 2 days now for a reply as to whether they are going to repair or replace it !
