All, I registered by Sony BDPS370. I used a now defunct email address that I would like to abandon. However I cannot change the registered email to my new address.
Any tips?
I think you need to call customer service on this so that they could change this for you.

I'm guessing you registered your BDP-370 via My Sony..
If I'm correct then log into your My Sony account (link - MY Sony)
Once logged in select the My Account tab
Half way down the page you should see change your email address..
Enter your current Email address & Password then click on Change email & complete the process..
If you have any difficuties with the above then let us know & we will try to assist further..
Thalamus. Thanks for that. Indeed there appeared to be an account registered for me there with the email address I wanted to replace. Curiously though, my Sony device was not registered here. Half of my contact details were though.
However, the site that I registered my device on in this one: https://internet.sony.tv. This is the site that my BDP370 instructs me to visit me to when I access the menu item "activate enhanced features".
Apparently, the amends I made at the link you shared with me do not filter through to https://internet.sony.tv. This is still requiring my old email to log in, and appears to have no email change facility.
Oh, and I can't register a NEW email address at https://internet.sony.tv because my BDP-370 won't give me another registration code because it tells me it's "already registered".

Oh, I should also say I cannot use https://internet.sony.tv to register the same BDP-S370 using a different email, because the device tells me it's "already registered".

yes the My Sony & Essentials are two completely seperate sites..
For your essentials issue have you tried logging into Sony Essentials website & unlinking your device..
All being well this should allow you to genreate a new code which hopefully should allow you to re-register using a new email address..:smileyhappy:
