ive had my handset for 3months, i was waiting to a reply for a text message, and the screen blacked out. the phone vibrated when the message came through, although there was no display on the screen. it had just been taken off charge, and had 90% battery.
i have tried updating it and charging it with no luck, all i got was a green notification light to tell me it was charging.
does anyone have a solution?

You might want try a hardware reset (if you are not aware of it).
Press the On/Off button and HOME (middle hard button) at the same time. Just for info, this will not erase any data in your phone.

Don't really get you regarding the 90% battery charge. Anyway, some info for you, while charging, battery will charge to 100%, then slowly discharge till 90% and it will charge itself back to 100% again (this cycle will continue until you pull the plug).
As for the sudden freeze and blackout, just monitor it's frequency. If yours is a mini pro, you can try removing the battery, put it back after awhile and reboot your phone.
Have fun.

i understand the battery cycle i know about that.
the issue is not with the battery, as it will still vibrate and the notification light still works. it is just that the screen is no operating so i can not turn it off and on again to try that.
its a technical fault probably with the backlight.
