When ever I turn on the the gps (agreed to the license) and run the "navigation", it says a working data network is required. So what is the point?!!
Assume I am on a mountain road. Is there an internet connection there?!

for navigation you do need a data plan but if you have the latest google maps you can save part of the map for offline use and the GPS will guide you it will work just fine but not navigation

Sorry what do you mean by "latest google map"?
Do you mean http://maps.google.com?
There are also "latitude", "places" and "wisepilot". What are they?
in all your posts, how come you always have this " _______" ?
I meant the Map app (Map app = google maps)

Well I press
SHIFT+THE_KEY_LEFT_TO_THE_ENTER_KEY
Seems there is a encoding problem. However I have not this problem with other forums...
About my problem, I see the map app. Pressing the menu key doesn't show such offline feature.

ok thanks. I upgraded the map.
One more question. What are the difference between latitude, places, navigation, wisepilot?
Navigation it's the same as wisepilot but its made by Google so it's free
delete wisepilot, you have to pay for it and it takes a LOT of internal memory space.
places is a way to find restaurants, theaters, etc (places) around you
latitude it's to share locations w/ friends
