Sony Xperia bUg phone: Battery dropped from 80% to 0% immediately!!! Everyone must know this :(

Hi Sony and all friends,

I could say this phone is the bUg phone of the year by Sony Slightly_frowning_Face

There are many bUgs reported daily, still there is no update or assurance from Sony!!!

Yesterday, suddenly my phone was OFF!!! I don't know what happened, It just vibrated once, red-light on once, and its OFF.

My battery level was more than 80%. I tried to start the phone, it was completely dead. Removed-inserted the battery, no its not starting. Recharged it for sometime, It did not start. Now, pressed the power button, red-light was blinking, but no luck Slightly_frowning_Face

After more than 2 hours, I again tried to charge the battery, and now phone switched on!!!

I went to Battery Usage option to see the battery usage graph. I was shocked to see what happened!!! Battery dropped from 80% to 0% its almost a straight line!!!

Also, noted this bUg:

Xperia U issue when battery is exhausted

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/39660

and this bUg: http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/41163 still exists!!!!

Now, Sony - what do you say about all these bUgs ? Why the fuck you released this phone with all these bUgs? Why cant you fix it soon?

I've found something interesting

Android apps that use power control APIs are often 'battery killers,' oh the irony

You got a battery drain bug.I got it too till two days back. But I guess it is converting itself to battery gain bug.Used the phone till the battery was almost 20% then suddenly the screenturned off and I turned it on WHOILA! 97% battery remaining unfortunately I was not able to get a screenshot of what happened

I have a bought xperia U before 15 days and i am facing a battery issue.

The mobile heats up easily during 3g internet usage with full brightness, that is not the main problem though!!

When mobile battery reaches 40% or below (and is heated due to 3g use), there is some sound in the device and it shuts off just like that..

When i connect to the charger it starts only after 5 minutes and the battery shows 1% and charging..

I thought it would be an initial issue due to new battery but its not being solved.

Please help me.

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts, apps)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

PC Companion http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

                  or
