When I connected my xperia S to my laptop, a prompt saying that there's an available update for my unit. May what is this update all about and what are the modifications it will give my unit should I try to accept the update? At least I have already an idea on what to expect once I engage my xperia s to an update. Any answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
Solved! Go to Solution.
It has been a wonderful week with ICS! However, despite having all the new features and goodies this update offers, it still has it's FLAWS!
1. THE PHONE HANGS and LAGS a lot, even freezes at times
2. the face unlock button was nowhere to be found. But after several resets, it suddenly appears on security settings menu.
3. The bravia enhancement engine, whether turned on or not, HAS NO EFFECT on pics and videos!
4. Camera performance has degraded! It has difficulty focusing and takes longer too!
5. SONY MUSIC UNLIMITED service is missing
6. The phone is supposedly PLAYSTATION certified. But whatever this claim says, I don't see it in this phone!
I really hope SONY fixes this things. If not, they better bring jelly bean so that this ICS flaws will be fixed!
Finally, I updated my Phone to ICS after couple of days....Thank God!...To make sure that everything will work fine, I really decided to use the Sony laptop product so that no compatibility issues (I think)...so far everyting went well..
...will be checking some problems or issues LOL! I hope none...but as per check I think the Volume of the walkman is a bit louder than the prior android version. But will continue to check if there are other issues of ICS as what others are mentioning in this forum.
Hi Rajz,
Good to hear you've finally updated it. Sorry wasn't able to reply back over the weekend as I am not on a pc. Unfortunately, I think this site does not allow Talk users to login to their accounts on a mobile phone (probably some scripting not supported in mobile), but I got to read your post. Just so you know, you can skype me anytime if you need any help.
How are you finding it?
