Hi all,
Plugged my Xperia S into my computer today and PC Companion said the ICS update was available. During the update my phone disconnected itself (made the windows usb disconnect sounds) however the cable had not been moved/touched in anyway.
Now my phone is in a constant reboot cycle where it boots to the Sony logo and then reboots and repeats. I've tried pushing the power button and up-volume for ~10 sec for the triple-vibration reset. Have removed my SIM card. I can turn it off this way, but if I turn it back on, it goes back into the reboot loop again. If I plug it into my computer it says installing device driver, then the phone reboots and it says driver installation failed.
How can I fix this?
Thanks

First you need to shutdown your phone
Press and hold Power Button and Volume Up button at the same time
5 Seconds > Restart Phone
10 Seconds > Shutdown Phone
After shutting down, neither switch it on nor connect it to pc
Run SUS on your pc , follow the on screen instructions, connect your mobile while holding down the volume button as described by sus ( connect only when you are asked to )
try SUS
Update Service (SUS)

Sorry, still not working. Phone constantly restarts when I turn it on so the Update Software/PC Companion doesn't do anything. If I open flashtool I get a log like this:

28/048/2012 19:48:08 - INFO - Device disconnected

etc.
Any help will be appreciated.
Hey, epiaph2808!
Try hard reset ( hold power and volume up botten at once till you got 3 times vibrating )
Than flash older ... .73 firmware. After that try SUS or PCC!
Wish you success!!

I got the same problem. Finally after flashing an older firmware ( in flashmode with flashtool) I was able to repair it with SUS!
