The "phone" app is draining a lot of battery

The "phone" uses around 10% of total battery while in deep sleep phone becomes 80% from 90% overnight. Is this normal? Ive used Xperia ray before but it never had similar battery drainage

Es file explorer or remote control collection.

One of the above app was responsible,

Check out app permissions.

I uninstalled both. Phone is back to normal

That doesn't seem right, there might be another app draining your battery or keeping your phone awake

It is supposed to be like that,if the OS was first, you will encounter serious battery drain.

Screen generally is the biggest battery drainer, to minimise this use the phone on the lowest brightness and turn off auto brightness. Brighter screen=more power used.

As for other apps e.g. unsed Google apps as well as other third party apps, go to 'Settings>Apps>All' and then disable the unsed apps.

As for the phone app draining battery, this is not normal at all. Possibly a SUS/PCC re-install may fix this.

EDIT: FORGET THE LAST THING I SAID, JUST NOTICED OP'S PROBLEM SOLVED.

The screen does consume a lot of battery, actually the battery capacity is designed acording to the screen size.

so it is very normal, screen will consume the most amount of battery.

you can download an "app uninstaller" via playstore,

or

go to

settings>apps> then select the suspected app and uninstall it
