I've unlocked bootloader by following the instructions provided on unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions and the fastboot tool sad "OKAY". Now when I try to turn it on again, I see SONY and then XPERIA logo, and then Xperia colour animation on the screen. It's been like that for more than an hour, and to turn it off I needed to pull out the battery. PC companion doesn't recognize it and Ubuntu won't mount device. I've tried holding the volume up button while starting up (the logos) and holding down both volume buttons and nothing happened.
I don't have SD card or any backups (figured out since it's fairly new device I don't really have much to lose). Is there any way to fix this? Losing data/formatting/installing custom ROMs/anything is fine.

If your bootloader was successful in been unlocked then using PCC or SUS to run a repair will fail saying modified software detected - So to repair you need to manually flash your phone using a .ftf firmware file
You need to find the right file for your phone ie:C2104 or C2105 - A small selection is here and when you click the file instructions and a download link will be there however you will need to sign up to download or use those instructions and check XDA for a firmware file

I've downloaded firmware from another site, since I couldn't from the one you provided and flashed using flashtool on Ubuntu (couldn't get Windows drivers to work). At the end it worked out fine.
Just now it won't update it to 4.2.2 from 4.1.2, but I guess that's another issue altogether.
Hi! I have the same problem with my Xperia L after unlocking bootloader. I've downloaded a firmware (Cyanogenmod) to flash it but there's a risk that it doesn't work fine and I may need to restore to a previous point when everything was okay.
Did you do a recovery before flashing a new firmware? Which ROM or firmware did you flash? And how!
Thanks in advance!
