Hard reset Xperia L

I want to hard reset my Xperia L but pusing the volume up plus power simultaneously does not seem to work. Any ideas?

No, its not possible to push these keys to reboot/power off on phones with an external battery.

I suggest that you take off the back cover and remove the battery for a few seconds. Put it back and power on again.
