Hi
I have a S370 bluray player with the Wifi adapter.
I must admit, big dissappointment - the content is old and very limited and there doesnt seem to be anyway to add e.g. podcasts.
However I wanted to stream media to the player...
But I cannot find any information about which format the S370 support when streaming.
I have tried streaming from my Samsung Galaxy S (mp4 / m4v files) - no luck the player cannot see the files. Photos and music works fine, tried Twonky and iMediaShare.
I thought that I have read something about the S370 only supports AVI when streaming (a little strange since it supports more format by USB), so I have also tried AVI DIVX files from Windows 7 / Media Player 11 - no luck, but It found some WMV files though which played.
So what to do?
Hi Windows Media Player 11 wont stream anything except WMV files, you will need a server that can transcode to MPEG for SD and M2TS for HD, i use Mezzmo as it has pre-configured profiles for each product, so the user does not need to have files that work, it will transcode all files to the player in the correct format.
but what formats should it be?
This is kind of the point of many DLNA servers like Mezzmo and Serviio - they support pretty much any flavour of video going in and turn it into a format that the TV will recognise. I'd give one of them a go and see how you get on..
Thanks
