Hi. I am using my STR-DH810 with a 5.1 speaker setup. When I play Bluray discs, the sound works fine. However, when I play CDs, I only get stereo from the front speakers, with no low LF enhancement from the sub. My front speakers are quite large, so the auto calibration system seems to have decided that no bass enhancement is necessary, but I feel the sound would benefit from some additional low end. I can use the sound field selection to create an artificial sound field, but what I want to do is get front stereo plus the subwoofer. The closest I can get is by using the PORTABLE music mode, but it sounds like this provides additional equalisation to the audio.
Any way out? Maybe by forcing the front speaker mode to SMALL?
