Sony RDR HX510 will not start up

For a friend I have a Sony RDR HX510 for repair. (I work with audio electronics maintenance, but not with video)

It starts up and give a welcome message on the display,but nothing els works, shortly there after closing it of.

I have test with a new switched power supplay, but the fault is stil there.

Is there anyone  who may have an idea about this problem.
