Will the Sony HT-AS5 accept the Sony's S-AIR rear speaker amplifier kit the WAHTSA2, please!
Also on the write up on Stufftv review on the Sony HT-AS5 it says
'There's a big slot on the subwoofer's rear too, for adding Sony's optional (£155) EZW-T100 'S-AIR module, which makes the rear system's rear speakers wireless'
What's the difference between the WAHTSA2 and the EZW-T100.
I think I need the WAHTSA2 which is the Amplifier part, what does the EZW-T100 do?
I would appceiate any help, Thank you

Yep this is the kit I just bought. The EZW-T100 fits into the back of the HT-AS5 main unit and provides wireless support to the amplifier part. Works great.
Thanks for the reply deanullenuk
Hi,
I've just joined this forum and saw your question today.
The WAHT-SA2 is a complete kit that contains the amplifier, wireless transmitter for the HT-AS5 base unit and the wireless receiver that fits into the back of the amplifier. The kit also contains some speaker wire. I've just bought this for my HT-AS5 and I'm very impressed with it.
It cost me £168 from my nearest Sony Centre, but they had to order it - it's not an item that they keep in stock.
I hope that this helps.
Rob.
Just tagging along to this thread, I just bought the WAHT-SA2, looked in the box and found some speaker wire, the connections on the end look different to the ones of the speakers that came with my HTIS-100, does this mean I have to cut my speakers to crimp these speaker wires on?
where did you get the trtansmitter?? ezw-t100 is nowhere in UK
Hi,
Is the WAHT-SA2 kit still available? Do you know where i can find one?
If not, is there any alternative that works with the same system (HT-AS5)?
