Sony BDP -S570 3D pattern

Hello, I have a Sony BDP -S570 and Panasonic TX-P50VT20, On 3D bluray discs I've started to get a moving pattern, particularly on dark scenes, only on 3D.

This doesn't happen on satellite transmitted 3d pictures, only on the DVD, any suggestions?

Hi,

i believe its down to a condition known as phosphor trailing on panasonic plasmas in dark scenes, its highly unlikely to be the player as i have one myself and its very good.

not much help i know, but perhaps you could tinker about with the motion handling a bit (off or down) see if that helps.

Thanks for your response, it’s tricky. I have tried the TV settings and it only happens on Blu-ray 3d, not normal Blu-ray, satellite etc. it looks like signal noise. I don't think it was there when I first got the setup but I'm not sure. I’ll keep looking for a solution.

Hi again,

phosphor trailing is a trait with some plasma panels so you wont lose it altogether however since you stated that it only happens on 3D, i cant check this for you as im still awaiting my replacement tv, but...

somewhere in the settings for the player you should be able to adjust the depth of the 3D, perhaps that will help, if not then if it only happens now and again i would not worry unless you plan on watching 3D every day!.

regards.
