S380 with Iomega Minimax HDDs

Can Sony S380 Bluray player be used with Iomega Minmax HDDs via front USB port.

If so what file system format as it doesn't seem to recognise NTFS or FAT32

Hi,

yet ANOTHER post regarding the use of HDD, come on Sony pull your finger out!,

format it in FAT32 and your player will pick it up fine!

i just wish Sony would come forward with detailed explanation to which drives, powered  or otherwise, size of drives, their limits, exactly why it has to be FAT32 and if used on a tv exactly what the tv does to the drive to prevent it from being used anywhere else!.

Anyone in Sony listening yet!?.

Thanks for your help with this - unfortunately that made no difference.

I've tried FAT32, NTFS and exfat. Does the S380 recognise MAC formats>

What I really don't get is why it works perfectly with Western Digital drives

Why don't hey just publish what will and won;'t work and we'll all stop wasting time (and money)
