Record from TV directly to laptop

Is it possible to use the HDD recorder, to record from my ex720 directly to my HP laptop, with a cabel where there is a USB A in both ends. Without risking that it will burn down? (As a computer guy told me)

Or do I need a USB stick with at least 32 GB?

Hi,

a cheaper (and safer) option is to get a USB flash drive, or you could pay a little more for a dedicated HDD  drive.

Hi,

I don't think so .  ex720 will not see your laptop through direct USB cable ? any connection between PC/laptop to TV should be through DLNA.
