Hi,
ok, could it be that your aerial is pointing the wrong way and picking up wenvoe and stockland?, could also be that your aerial is a high gain one and is picking up from further afield, perhaps you could have a chat with an aerial installation engineer for further advice
Hi,
why are you trying to tune to 2 different aerials?, you can only use one, please remember all Analogue stations if not done already are switched off and only Digital stations available.
you will need to choose which transmitter you wish to recieve from and re tune Digital tuner on your recorder from that.
regards
Yes.I know analogue has gone.
I am not trying to tune to 2.I want to tune to Mendip transmitter(2 miles up the road) The dvd is tuning in to Wenvoe and Stockland.
I can see the transmitter from our house. Our arial is pointing that way about 2 miles north east.
Wenvoe ,Is about 50 miles west over the bristol channel.Stockland hill isabout 75 miles south west.It was fixed new about 4 years ago at gtaet expense by an arial firm. Seems such a stupid problem.!!!!
Hello Ir1953,
In case you are recieving signal from multipule transmitters directions, and want get the best signal quality, you must fix multiple antennas (because each antenna designed to recieved signal within a specific front view angle).
Just note, to connect 2 (or more) antennas physically, you need a splitter box which gather both antennas input to one output cable . If you connect both antenaas cables by a simple joint, the signal will be poor due to mis-matching between antennas impedance (75 ohms) and lose of signal between them.
Regards,
KDL-CX520,
that will be no good whatsoever, in fact that will make the situation much worst, and defeating the object of what Ir1953 needs,
if you only want Mendip you need to reduce the recieving power of your antenna somehow, its no good having for instance, a fancy aerial like an 18 element high gain ith gold plated connectors and so forth it you could do the job with a wire coat hanger!.
sound advice if you have conflicts with multiple transmitters is to speak to an aerial installer for advice,
Bravia55HX923,
Back to the basics, i recommend to read about this product in case connecting two antennas, no booster should be used in the way
Just for information.
KDL-CX520,
are we gonna argue all day!!, he dont want two antennas he wants ONE transmitter!
