Have restored player to factory settings and this seems to have done the trick. It now once again connects to Internet services.

Still having same problem. When trying to connect screen shows Internet connection status--connection status cannot be configured-Configuration failed while connecting.
Had no problems prior to this happening.Internet settings come up as OK. Wireless connection to router OK as Photos, films and Music file on PC are still connecting.
Have no problems with Bravia TV this is still able to connect to internet services so this is a problem confined to the Blu-ray player BDP-S570

This fault is apparent once again after re-booting player. It again shows connection status cannot be verified-- and configuration failed while connecting. So there appears to be a fault in the system somewhere. It is an inconvenience to say the least if I have to reset all settings to factory settings on each occasion I wish to use the internet services. Any solutions available please????

Asssume you are connecting wirelessly. Does the same issue occur if you connect via Ethernet? What make is your router? Is there a firmware update available for it?
Thanks

Same thing happens when connected via Ethernet cable. Router is Netgear DGN 2200 with up to date firmware. Player has worked OK since purchased late 2010 but this fault has developed over last few days..Have tried full factory re-set and re-connecting both wirelessly and via ethernet cable -it then will connect to internet services but problem is there again when I switch player off and back on again,

I'd contact your local service centre then and get it checked out. Likely still under warranty in any event, but you've seemingly carried out a pretty reasonable troubleshoot yourself, so it may well be a hardware fault somewhere.
Thanks

Thanks--yes I think thats going to be next course of action. I do have internet services on Bravia TV but prefer BBC iplayer on the Blu-ray player as this also has BBC radio catch-up programs as well as TV.

If its working off one device and not the other on the same connection then something definitely sounds wrong. Do feedback the outcome as I'd be keen to hear the service centre diagnostics..
Thanks
