I am having trouble with my new Sound Bar, It is all set up but after 20 minutes or so I loose connection to the sub and then after another 10 minutes or so it re connects and the the proccess starts again. I have tried reconnecting the sun to the sound bar, tried both optical and HDMI connections to the TV but that still doesn't work. As I think it's a WiFi problem I have turned off the WiFi on my TV and my internet router in case it was causing interference but its still not holding the connection. (If it helps in anyway I have got a Sony KDL42W807 TV)
Has anyonw got any ideas? I readlly dont want to have to box it back up and take it back to the shop.
Regards.
HI there,
I was lucky enough to be given same for xmas and set it up out of the box and all was perfect (all day).
Next day I connected the bluetooth and that worked brilliantly; but from then on my subwoofer went on to standby 10 minutes after connection.
Despite switching off/on the equipment it always happened.
However I have found a work around.
If you cycle the input from what ever is showing (mine is HDMI) around and back to where you started (Mine is HDMI) then that appears to give a permanent connection.
From a consumers point of view - Sony I am not impressed with this issue. Unfortunately we cannot upgrade the firmware so we are stuck with this issue. We buy Sony because of the fine quality. These issues should have been Beta tested out.
Please advise if we should return the units as having to cycle the input each time is not to SONY STANDARD.
Great piece of kit though.
Hi there
I dont have any real experience with this system, but have you tried turning OFF "Auto Standby" in the system settings?
Cheers
