How do I view subtitles on Sony SMP-N100? - Sony

I have just bought a SMP-N100 media player, and can't work out how to display subtitles.

I press the 'Subtitle' button, but nothing is displayed. I tried on BBC iPlayer and movies on LoveFilm, but can't see the subtitles.

Any ideas please?

have a look at this link and see if theres anything to help you there, theres a free program you can download called AVIAddXSUBS that may be useful.
