How do I get my Blu-ray player connected?

Hi I have a BDP S470 Blu ray player it says all is connected to the internet ok, however if I try to connect to play BBC iplayer it says unable to connect to internet. My provider is O2

Do all other applications on your blu-ray player work fine?

Have you tryed to use you tube or love film?

Its just that the BBC iPlayer App is still a BETA in which sometimes you have to wait for anywhere upto 24 hours before you can gather a connection because your unit reqires and update that is not constantly being broadcast.

You will just have to wait for your Blu Ray player to pick up the update then all should be ok, if not ok within 24hours try 08705 111 999

I cant get any internet applications working at all, no you tube nothing other than it will connect to gracenote to pick up what DVD I am playing ?

Are you using the sony uwa-br100 dongle or ethernet?

Have done the inital setup in the network setup menu?

Also can you go to www.speedtest.net and let me know your internet connection speed?

My download speed is 6.7mb

All set up is done OK

Grace note will connect to tell me what DVD I am playing

All systems tell me that I am connected OK

It used to work a possible 4 times out of 7 after I did a full re install however it will not connect to any programes such as You Tube, BBC iPlayer or Channel5 etc all it does is hang on the trying to connect then flips back to the main page ?

Just done an update to 7.52 this eve and all is working now 🙂
