Error message on RDR-DC100 DVD recorder

I have a 1 year old RDR-DC100 DVD recorder and recently when I switch it on I get what appears to be an error message E01 in the display.

The recorder will then not respond to the remote until I press the reset button on the front of the unit.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is and a possible solution?  Thanks

I would suggest you to contact the Sony service center
