DVD RDR-DC100 loses signal on Guide +

RDR-DC100 recorder displays a red warning at the top of the Guide plus screen "Warning: Your guide plus system has not received TV listings. Keep your device in standby when not in use". The TV? DVD is never turned off at the mains and this warning was not shown when we purchased the player originally. However now after some days the programme list is lost, just blank channels are displayed. Help? Thoughts?

Hi,

your device is fitted with both Analogue and Digital tuners, it would appear its still trying to access the Analogue signal, please re tune on the Digital tuner and all will be fine.

Sometimes it seems the RDR DC series lose the the automatic download of the guideplus listing. If you look at the setup functionalities available in the guideplus screen there is the possibility to manually download it: try and see if it comesup with an error (i.e. non host channel available). If everything works (it takes some 30 minutes) you'll have your listing back and also the automatic download overnight should work.
