bluray s580 problem

hi

im having trouble connecting my sony S580 bluray player. when connected via hdmi straight to hdtv fine,

but when i connect to my sony STRDH500 receiver amp ,the picture flickers at the rate of once every two or three minutes the screen goes black for a second ,it effects the sound also..other components like sky+ play fine through the amp..

                               can anyone help please

Hi,

i am slightly confused here, can you tell me why you want to connect one blu ray player up to the other one?, the BDP-S500 is a high end blu ray player and not a reciever/amp.

So sorry my mistake, ive just edited my question, i meant S580 connected to STRDH500 .thanks for pointing it out..

Hi again,

the fault lies in your output settings on your blu ray player, get into set up and check screen settings and audio settings and double check you are confident they are right,

personally i've had no experience with HDMI pass through connections, my S570 is via HDMI to my tv and sound is via Digital Coaxial to the Amp (you get a choice of Coaxial or Optical)
