BDV-L500 - Missing BBC iPlayer

It's great to have BBC iPlayer on my TV but would love to get the icon back on my BDV-L500, has anybody got any ideas?

I can't find your model number mentioned anywhere on this site, are you certain it's a BDV-L500?

Perhaps this statement by Sony will help?

YouTube is no longer available on the BDV-L600 unfortunately.

@MK_Slinky - prepare to dunk yourself in an ice bath.  Its iPlayer that OP is having issues with

Hi there

Correction on above.  It appears that iPlayer had been discontinued on you system.  For whatever reason, the Sony link fails.  But see:
