BDV-E780W dies on standby

Hi! I have a two week old BDV-E780W home cinema Blu-Ray box and it frequently dies while on standby. It works fine when I use it, then I stop it from remote and the next day when I try to start it wont respond to remote or buttons on the unit. It is completely dead. If I unplug it from power it still wont respond unless I keep it unplugged for several minutes. The same happens also with the latest firmware version.

I have digital PVR (or whatever it is called, a thing that records on hard disk) connected through HDMI but I do not use it through this box. I also have a network cable connected. Any ideas if HDMI or network could make the system die while on standby mode?

After I turned off automatic network updates and Party functionality I  have not seen the system to die any more. So maybe it tried to to go to  network while on standby and got stuck there.
