BDPS570-this disc cannot be played issue

I recently purchased the Sony BDP-S570 and am generally impressed with it.

However the player has displayed some weird issue with blu-ray discs. Occasionally I try and play a disc and the message this disc cannot be played shows on screen with an exclamation mark. Now the player is less than a month old and the disc is brand new. Furthermore, I had played the disc earlier that day. Now the issue goes away if I unplug the machine for about 10 minutes. The question is: is the player or the disc at fault?

Can this be down to the player settings or is something else to blame?

i would suspect this is a firmware issue, since the machine is relatively new have you performed a firmare update on it yet?, it may be set so you would have to check for it manually, i have mine on auto, i cannot imagine it being anything else as its an excellent machine.
