I've recently recieved Blu-ray disc that I'd ordered, but to my surprise all I got for a film was "Invalid Region".
It isn't the first time I order Blu-Ray disks with Amazon, but it is the first time I get this problem with something other than my computer...
For info I live in europe and the film in question is the Blu-ray version of Acorn Media's "murder on the orient express" ordered via Amazon.
Thank you for your help !

Ok so to conclude this topic in case somebody encounters the same problem.
I've recieved and answer to the e-mail I've sent to Amazon. Aparently there's been a mixup in oders when they packed it, so I did not recieve the correct version of the disc.
What I don't understand is the nature of the mixup...it was the correct film, and it is listed as "all regions", so it should still work...
Anyway, they've offered to replace or refund it so all's good, and my BDP-S560 is in good health
Hi,
you should always check the region of the discs advertised on the Amazon website in terms of Blu Ray discs your region is B, unless of coarse the disc is region free in which case these will play on any machine.
Oh ok thank you... I didn't think there were regions for Blu-ray...I would've thought they'de given up on that sensless practise (must be lucrative though).
Do you know if there is a way I can change my Blu-ray region on my BDP-S560?
Hi again,
no, im afraid the player is region locked to "B" only the DVD side can be unlocked to all regions and to be perfectly honest, its not worth the bother.
Thanks again, I'll keep that in mind from now on
I just wanted to double-check, and on Amazon (in my order details that is) it's written that it's for all regions...
"Region: All Regions"
I suppose there must've been a mistake with the order if they sent me one that isn't compatible for region B, or when they say "all regions" it means they have all of them in stock?
In any case, I also checked the disc's box and there's nothing written onto it about regions...
I'll also ask amazon customer service of course, but if you have any ideas I'd welcome them
All regions means that it will play on any player.
But that's the thing, it doesn't work...
Like I've said I havn't had this problem in the past, be it with LotR extended edition Blu-Ray that came from the US, or Blu-Ray products bought in my local store...I just don't understand what the problem could be, especially now that I've seen it's for all regions...
I've sent an e-mail to amazon about this, I hope I get an answer soon. As I've no problems with other Blu-Ray discs or DVDs (re-checked just now), it's very possible that the problem comes from their side.
