BDP-S300 Can't read DB disk

Both before and after upgrade of the firmware, my BDP-S300 can't read the BD disks. Now it is at level 5.70 but still can't read BD disk. Have tried with many BD disk that work in my other BD players.

i have an old s300 also with the latest firmware and have no such issues, im surprised however that it would not read discs before the update as well as after, as if it was a laser issue you would not have been able to update it, you sure you "finalised" the disc before you updated?, also have you tried to play a normal dvd in it?, that would eliminate a laser fault.

try downloading the firmware again and finalising the disc, the first one might not have burned properly.
