i have a Sony audio system WHG SLK 2iV and i cannot play my Iphone 4 s on it

My son can use his Iphone 4 s on my sony system but mine just wont play and keeps giving me the message that their is no device - why is this.  i have the most up to date software on my phone.  I can play my iphone 3g.  The system is WHG SLK 2iV.

If your son's iPhone 4S works OK and your older iPhone also works, it does sound like a problem with your iPhone 4S.  It seems unlikely to be the audio system.

What are you trying to play?  Are you both using iTunes?

It may be an idea to ask your phone provider to check the phone and the settings.
