Touchless Shutter Camera App

Hello,

I have downloaded this App from the Playmemories website, where it is flagged as a Beta version and Sony invites comments 'via the questionnaire below'. I have 2 questions:

- I can't find any questionnaire on the website, either on that page or on any other page

- the version is dated November 2016 so it's 3 years old! Are Sony going to develop it further?

It does seem to be working as described!

Hi there,

I think the survey you are referring to is at the bottom of the page, which requires a yes or no answer to the question 'Was this article helpful?'.

In answer to your second question, you can see the latest version of PlayMemories Home here.

Sorry, I don't follow you. This is something I accessed from the camera, not my laptop. I connected the camera to wireless and selected Applications on the menu, then downloaded an app called 'Touchless Shutter' from a screen with a collection of apps. It's not a support page - there isn't anything about the page being helpful. I do have the latest version of the Remote, Edit and Viewer set on the laptop but that's not the same thing. I'm looking for this 'questionnaire' about the Touchless Shutter app

well, I'd say that you cannot find the questionnaire as obviously the app is about 3 years old so most likely that page is no longer existing. That leads me to your second question: well, I'm not a Sony employee but I'd say that they stopped developing the app further. Otherwise I would have expected some kind of update.

Anyhow, as the app is obviously working for you I wouldn't bother. Simply take it as it is and do not worry about the questionnaire.

Yes, that's exactly what I will do, but I did want to make a comment on the app so that's why I went looking for the questionnaire. As you both say, they must have decided not to take it any further. I was hoping someone from Sony would reply with official confirmation - not so much about this particular app but also where the questionnaires are located - this app is free but I would expect the paid-for ones to allow feedback
