RX100MK3 transfer of images to iPhone running ios13.4.1

Does anybody know how to successfully transfer images from the camera to an iPhone. I have wasted hours fiddling about with Image edge and Playmemories but cannot get the camera to connect to the iPhone via wiFi. It shows that the connect is made on the iPhone but the camera just shows "connecting" and never transfers any image.

Sony software is really absolute CRAP and Sony ought to be ashamed. I wish I had never bought this bloody camera
