Losing date setting on battery change. HX400v

Hi,

I have just taken over a HX400v camera and when I change the battery I have to reset the date and time. My previous HX400v kept the date and time through a battery change.

Anyone else have this problem and know I way to fix please

The internal rechargeable backup battery has discharged. Insert a charged battery, and set aside for 24 hours or more with the power left off.

Thanks I will give that a go. It was left off overnight with a charged battery in it but maybe not long enough. Does it help to have it plugged into the battery charger? If this does not work is it an easy fix to replace the battery?

Thanks for this. The camera is now plugged in a with a fully charged battery external battery. I will leave for 24hrs. Is the internal battery soldered or just clipped in place, do you know?

You should ask for Assistance, it looks like a flat, removable Lithium Battery but...
