I have had my HX9V since the end of August. Earlier this week it has developed a mechanical noise whenever the zoom is used, although it is much more pronounced when zooming out. The noise is a rapid rythmic clicking, and is loud enough to be picked up on video recorded with the camera.
Has anyone else experienced this please? Also, given the short amount of time I have had the camera, would you think a replacement camera should be given to me, or is a repair of the camera reasonable? I bought the camera from John Lewis.

Hello - welcome to the Sony Forums
As you have only had the camera for a short amount of time, I would advise you to contact Customer Services to try and find out the best course of action and if necessary, they will be able to advise you about a repair under warranty.
All of the details for this have been placed in this handy forum thread:
