I peeled off the factory fitted soft screen protector on my 6 year old RX100 mark 1 because it was scuffed and scruffy. (I was planning to sell the mark1).
It has peeled off some of the anti-reflective coating that Sony must apply to the naked LCD screen.
It looks a complete mess and although it is invisible when the screen is on, I think this camera is unsaleable now.

Hi Mike,
I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
Thanks Pascale, but I solved it. The alchohol cleaner that came with a tempered glass screen protector managed to remove all the blemishes on the Sony's screen with a bit of work.
I am now not sure whether the original screen protector removed some of a coating that Sony has applied to the screen, or whether the protector had left some of its adhesive on the screen when I peeled it off.
I'm inclined towards the former, as the peeled-off original protector now has some multicolored patches that look exactly like the multicoating film on lenses or specs.
It doesn;t really matter now though as the tempered glass protector is of course completely shiny and would negate anything Sony has applied for antireflective purposes.
Anyway it's OK now and I have put the mark 1 up for sale.

Hi mike5100 ,
Could you upload a photo showing the screen?
Cheers,
