DSC HX60 Flash is sparking when i take picture

Hello all ,

every time i take a pic with the flash up/on it sparks , smokes and scares the life out of me , 

Does anyone know if this is fixable or in need of complete replacement ?

the camera works fine if i dont use the flash.

I would suggest that you contact your place of purchase regarding this issue and stop using the camera if it is sparking and smoking. You can also contact our support regarding this matter. If you are within the UK you may be entitled to a replacement under consumer law.
