Do I need a memory card for sony HDR-CX625

Hi,

I just bought a sony HDR-CX625 - and it did not come with a memory card - do I need one to record movies?

Hi LJWB99 and welcome.

Sony makes this camera both with (CX675) and without (CX625) any internal memory. Your camera has no internal memory and will need a memory card to record Movies/Photos.

The various types of suitable recording media are listed on Page 14 of your Operating Instructions:-

XAVC S HD: Micro SDHC Memory Card(4GB or over, Class10 or Higher)/Micro SDXC Memory Card(Class10 or Higher), AVCHD, Still: Memory Stick Micro (Mark 2), Micro SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card(Class 4 or Higher)
