The MK8034GAL HDD in my wife's little used DCR-SR58E camcorder had failed catastrophically and cannot be read by the camera or a computer via a ZIF to USB converter.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has successfully replaced the HDD with a converter board and SD card.
