XR-65A75K Sony OLED TV 5 times red light blinking

My Sony XR-65A75K OLED TV refuses to start when powered only red blink 5 times and repeats the blinking after a pause.

I have tried the unplugging and plugging the power plug while pressing the start button on the TV. This has worked twice with the TV working for a few days and relapsing to 5 blinking red lights with the whole TV not powering up.

Kindly help with some insights to this problem.

Red blinking LED  is a sign something major is failing on your TV.

Is your TV still under warranty, if so contact whoever you bought it from and arrange

to have someone come out and check it over.

If the TV is out of warranty then you may find a repair is too costly to justify and a new TV is the only option.

I have finally discovered the challenge with my TV it’s the T-con board but am unable to get the exact fit. The part number is: 6871L-6962B.

Please will appreciate any pointers on where to get one.

I pasted that board number into a Google search. All sorts of responses came up, some of which were relevant.

A bit apprehensive about getting it from eBay which is the major pointers one gets from google search.

Thank you, issue resolved with a replacement t-con board from eBay.

I finally resolved the issue with a replacement t-con board which I got from eBay. The issue was resolved immediately I replaced the t-con board only no other thing was touched.

Though the confusing part was that the part number of the replacement board is 6871L-6962A (6870C-0931A) while the one I replaced was 6871L-6962B (6870C-0931B). I was afraid that the last alphabet had to be the same, and only bought it because the seller confirmed it was for the same model of Tv.

Hi, just an update on this issue, hope this might be useful. My TV also failed with the red led blinking 5 times.  As I was going away I unplugged the TV from the mains socket. When I returned home after 3 days I thought I should give it another try before contacting a repair company. To my surprise the TV correctly initiated the restore process and it has been working fine since.
