sound issues

Hi names Bob

We have just replaced a 12 yr old Bravia with a new KD43XF8577, my god what a differance, never seen so many settings in my life!

We are having problems with the sound, it happens on low frequence sounds or speech, we are getting a echo, with some sounds coming from your left hand side, we have switched off the surround sound and its better but still happens on certain sounds, never had surround sound before!

I assume that is the case, can anyone please help. Not sure about altering the other many settings just in case!

On another note

I am also looking at buying a SF200 sound bar, would that help as i assume you switch off the Tv speakers to use it, and the sound comes from the front not the side of the TV?

Hi Stugman,

I'll see if I can track down some answers for you. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime though.

Thanks,
Pascale

Hi Bob,

Could you let us know what is the source of the audio signal the TV is outputting (Digital broadcast, TV box, Game console, Blu-ray player, etc.)? And if you have an external device connected to the TV, maybe you can try disconnecting it and trying to play content from one of the apps on the TV like Youtube to see if you will still hear some echo?

Since there shouldn't be any echo that is not present in the original content, I'd say even the TV shouldn't be making that effect and again if the issue isn't related to the content itself then the soundbar is also expected to perform as intended.

I'd also recommend making sure the TV is running the latest firmware which can be found here.

Hope this helps,
