Hi and glad to join the community. We have just unpacked our new Sony Bravia KD55XH9505 (2020). Thats fine. However, although there was a film protector along the bottom edge covering the Sony logo, we are not sure if there is a film covering the rest of the screen. It's not obvious there is, but every TV we have had in the past did.
Grateful if the community would help, before we damage it!
thanks in anticipation.
Solved! Go to Solution.
On my XG9505 there was protective film around the entire screen bezel but no protective film on the actual screen.
Samsung do the same; film on the bezels, but nothing to peel off their TV screens.
Or their folding phones either 😛
Hi and thanks for your help. We will leave the screen alone. Another question you might help with.
Have you found an ideal set of settings for the Standard Picture. We find though the images can be bright, they tend to lack colour and appear 'washed' at times.
Any setting ideas gratefully received.

Hi @2929andy
I think this will help you calibrate your TV: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/kd-43xh8505/artic...
