Hi All - I have a BRAVIA KD65XF8796BU and am having some issues. I thought that you could connect an HDD to it and then use the YouView function but unfortunately this isn't possible so you have to disable YouView and then re-tune to the digital aerial. This is a real pain as you then loose the pause live TV function! Anyway when you then go to use the ITV Player App it says you must enable YouView - so you seem to be stuck in a vicious circle. Am i missing something - please can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!
@inkyboy, there is no need to retune when switching from YouView to Freeview, or even when returning to YouView (just Skip the retune step when returning, and you aren’t even asked on the way out).
And are you sure you can pause live TV in YouView anyway?
The main thing you lose when exiting YouView, apart from the 7-day backward EPG, is the ITV Hub and All4 players, as you have found. You, and @gcac2828, can Google ‘hoshsadiq’ to find a workaround for this.
I have installed APKs on our Sony Android TV.
QUESTION Could you please expain how to download and use hoshsadiq.

Its pretty clear, I think, unless you don’t know how to sideload
Your SideLoad Link instructions appreciated. On our Sony Andriod TV I have experience with Kodi plus FileLinked so I know just a little but apart from these I have never sideloaded on our Sony Android TV.
See how I go...I may have to get back to you again.
inkyboy. As you suggested I downloaded hoshsadig and I now have Catch-up on BBC...ITV...All4...Ch5.
Glad you got it working, @gcac2828
If you could kindly mark the response that answered your question as an Answer, that would be appreciated by those who have the same issue in the future, but make sure you get the right poster
I wonder if the OP, @inkyboy, has tried this and got it working?
