I've had my Sony KD48A9BU smart tv since November 2020 and want to watch the new ITVX app. The Google store within the tv says the app doesn't exist although both my LG smart tv's work fine with it. I don't know how this forum works, do staff from Sony answer queries? I've seen the same issue posted but with no resolution. Are Sony working on it or am I stuck with an expensive tv that won't update with new apps? I don't know who to turn to for help. Do I have to go back to the retailer that I bought the TV from?
I have just bought Sony towards the end of 2022 and I have ITVX as one of my apps
I bought Sony in oste 2022 and it has ITVX. How it gets there I have not got a clue but it 8s not available on the 2021 model I previously had.
looks like my going to get a LG TELEVISON next week ,if sony are this poor
Be aware there is currently(?) no live TV option on the LG itvX app.
Much cheaper to get a Roku Express or Amazon Firestick, and use this to bring full itvX to any TV without it.
As regards which Sony TVs support it, see:-

It’s been popping up spontaneously on Sony TVs that support it lately. And note that any reports about Sony TVs not having had it a few weeks ago are unreliable, as those TVs might well have it now, if only their owners had persevered with them.
2020 A9s should have it, though. Maybe under Sony Select?
When can I get ITVX on our Sony TV ?
Hi @losydne
It arrived on both of my Sony TVs last month. You need to check to see if your TV is compatible with ITVX.
I have just clicked on the old ITV Hub icon and ITV X was there😃
And me! It’s driving me crazy! So many shows I want to watch and can’t!!

Hi @HolllyHadley1 Have you checked that your TV is compatible with ITVX? If not you need to make other arrangements like adding a streaming stick to your TV.
