I have some problems with connection my TV Sony XR-65X90K and RTX 4080 through HDMI.
I tried to connect cable to all the HDMI ports, but it doesn't work. Furthermore, I tried to change HDMI mode on HDMI ports and it gives some result. Sony HDMI modes:
If I use the VRR HDMI mode on TV, I have a picture, but:
It's just beyond frustration when you buy a quite high-end TV, you paid a lot of money for all the cool functions and modes BUT it works only in one mode and not even as it should work.

After that, all the HDMI ports and modes started to work. However, sometimes the sound disappears. And I need to reset the TV to fix. It's a random issue, I don't know what it depends on.
Is this related to G-sync at all? I mean have you disable it to test it?
Also about the ray tracing, is it enables/disabled? Cause I honestly don't know if the TV is able, or can handle them.
Before the latest update they used to struggle with VRR and local dimming, so throwing a 4000 series to it might be an overkill 😅.
After all they're meant to function more with consoles than a full-fledged gaming PC.
