I updated android software this morning and since doing that, when trying to play videos via a browser, they play very very slowly. Like buffering, but not.
Any ideas?

Ok, try the steps in this link on the Chrome app:https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/mobile-phones-tablets/articles/00235707
If that didn't work, try to perform software repair by the Xperia Companion, and you can check this link here for the instructions: Xperia Companion
Update us if that will solve the issue or not, and don't forget to backup your data before the software repair or the factory data reset.

Did you try to check if that happen with more than one browser ?
And does it happen with other apps that have video playback option ?
