Hi. My phone dies all the time and shows battery empty sign when I know I have 50% left, which it shows when a charger is connected. Sometimes It can go earlier or sooner but often at 50%. Damage battery?
This has been happening to me too for the past week. I did a repair on my device, a soft restart and started it up in safe mode but it hasn't done anything. I've also done a battery health test using a code off Sony and that doesn't even work. It's starting to really annoy me I'll be using my phone and it will be on 20-30% and then just power off and when it turns back on when plugged into the outlet it will still be at 20-30%. Hopefully Sony will find a solution soon before I move from them!
Oh okey 😕 Think i forgot to mention that if i try to restart the phone without the charger when it has randomly shut off and shown the embty battery sign, it will restart and be on for like halv an minute, and then die again 😕
I'm in the same boat as you, I haven't been able to find a solution yet and Xperia solution just involves the repair and then sending it in which will cost lots.
I've not sent it back yet, it's not in warranty as I've had it for over 2 years. They won't give you a quote until you send it off and if you don't accept the quote you have to pay £25 to get your phone back. I don't think it's the battery though because lots of people seem to be having the same problem 😕
