SD card media not recognised

my Z1 compact recently advised me that my internal memory was getting low, so i inserted a 32gb SD card and trasferred photos, APP's and music.

after this i could not see any photos, listen to any music and i have two copies of APP's one on the SD and and one on the phone.

i connected the SD card to my PC to check the contents, the PC informed me the SD card was corrupt and proceeded to format the card.

Luckily i had a back up, so i transferred the data back on to the newly formatted SD card and inserted the card back into the phone, now the phone recognises the media, but will not play any songs or view any pictues.

Any advice, i do not seem to be able to make the installed music apps use the SD card as a file for loacting music.

Hi @AndreasEzelius

First try to clear data on app:

From your Home screen

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings -> Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on Walkman
5. Tap Force stop -> Clear data
6. Unmount your sd card.
7. Restart your device and put back the sd card. Check if you can repoduce songs.

If that doesn´t solve the problem, try boot your device into safe mode as explained here and see if this problem disappear in this mode. I´m at disposal for any question.

Thanks for the feedback.

it did not work exactly as planned as the media vanished from the SD card again, i reloaded the SD card from the media suite which seemed to work for a while but now the phone is telling me the SD card is corrupt and needs formatting again, so i need to re-start the whole process once more, very frustrating.

Hi There

i still seem to have an issue between the SD card and the phone, i am using the SONY media go software which takes an age to syncronise and apparentyl transfer the data to the sim card, however after each time the phone and PC syncronise the music does not play on the music apps. if i connect the phone to the PC once more it tells me the music did not syncronise correctly last time or the telephone was incorrectly removed. any further advice?
